Our HTST Heat Exchangers

Sanitary HTST systems use our plate or shell & tube exchangers for continuous flow pasteurization. Raw product is preheated by hot pasteurized product (regeneration), heated to exact temperature, held, then cooled — delivering safe, high-quality output with maximum efficiency and minimal thermal damage.

High Temperature Short Time pasteurization heats every particle of liquid to 161°F (72°C) for at least 15 seconds, then cools rapidly. Most common continuous method for milk and dairy in the US.

Product flows through sanitary plates or tubes. Regeneration preheats incoming cold product with outgoing hot product. Heating section raises temperature using hot water/steam. Hold tube maintains time. Cooling section rapidly lowers temperature.
